Cabin comfort and visibility
An oversized cab provides generous space so the operator can work comfortably all day long. The instrument panel is designed to allow a quick check of the machine working condition during operation. Visibility to the working area is enhanced thanks to the pipe routing inside the boom width. For work at night, the excavator has 3 halogen lights, 2 mounted on the boom and 1 on top of the cab, in addition to the travel lights.
Standard equipment includes a high flow, low noise air conditioning system. Temperature, power and air flow direction are fully adjustable, with several air outputs placed in the cab to provide a uniform temperature.
For optimum stability when working, the suspension can be locked by pressing a switch on the control panel to make the undercarriage more rigid.
Powerful digging force combined with a state-of-the-art hydraulic system ensure optimum operating efficiency even in difficult conditions.

Thanks to powerful driving force and the highest swing limit angle in its class, the E55W is capable of working efficiently on slopes.
Boom/Dozer blade safety valve and Overload warning device
Safety valves in the boom and dozer blade hydraulic systems prevent these assemblies from dropping in the event of a cylinder pipe rupture. An overload warning device is standard equipment
Electronically controlled engine with Auto Idle system
An electronic injection system continuously adjusts the amount of fuel injected to optimize fuel consumption and reduce emissions and engine noise to a minimum level. Auto Idle control reduces engine speed to low idle after a few seconds whenever the excavator controls are not in use. As soon as the operator activates any control function, the engine immediately returns to the previous throttle level. Auto Idle helps to reduce fuel consumption considerably.
Thanks to computer aided design and use of robust materials and components tested under extreme conditions, the E55W offers excellent reliability, which contributes to low lifetime operating costs. Finite element design is used to limit fatigue and improve the durability and reliability of the boom and dipperstick. The undercarriage is designed to be robust and stable for improved reliability and durability.
Easy access for daily service and long grease intervals
The most advanced technology has been incorporated in the E55W to enable simple and easy maintenance, with convenient check points to maximize work efficiency. A large rear cover provides easy access to the engine, pumps, radiators, filters and all other components for daily maintenance and service. The cab can be tilted to allow ready access to the main valve. Thanks to the use of sintered metals, grease intervals for the workgroup pins have been extended to 250 hours.
